Tobacco / Trinket Baskets

The prices of tobacco baskets will vary, depending on size, materials, and complexity.  Prices start at about $350.

This is a trinket or traditionally a tobacco basket.  It's made with willow sticks and spruce root weavers.  The design is made using bear grass and woodwardia fern.  The lid is also made with willow and spruce root except for the edge on the bottom, which is made with willow root.  It's finished off with deer hide lacing and a small clam shell.  Posted 11/22/2011.  SOLD

This is a traditional lidded tobacco storage basket.  The leather ties are decorated with abolone shells.  The basket is made from willow sticks, spruce root weavers, and the white is a beargrass overlay.  SOLD
