Baby Rattles

Baby rattles are priced at $50 and up, depending on size and complexity.  Rattles with overlayed design are priced somewhat higher, again depending on complexity.

This is a baby rattle.  This rattle measures about 5" long.  It's made of willow sticks with spruce root wrapping.  There are a few small cowrie shells inside to give it a nice sound.   This basket is now on display at the Clarke Memorial Museum in Eureka, CA.  Of course, children using the rattle should always be watched because the shells inside are small and could be swallowed.
